Because of Election Day, the kids had school off. Avery helped me load the trailer full of garbage which cleared out the "catch all" room and much of the yard.
In the afternoon the kids had friends over and it made me smile to see this scene in my entry.
Jason and Shaun put together a masterpiece for the front desk. Especially special is that the top counter was made from wood that Shaun's grandfather gave him many years ago.
Amy knew we were working with a deadline and gave up several afternoons to do some painting for us. She's such a good show-upper (and fixer-upper! ;).
Scenes from the day.
After the close of business, we went to the old office and got what we could with the car and pickup truck. Conveniently, the new office is just across the street. When we took one of the loads, we caught a stunning sunset and Avery insisted that we take a couple minutes to enjoy it at the farm. I'm so glad she did. Life is too short to not stop and stand amazed at God's workmanship.
Big day!! The movers came at 8:30 and by 10:30 they were done and the old office was completely cleared out.
We had a crew there, trying to get computers hooked up and things put away.
We loaded up two vehicles and hit the road at 7am for our meet in New Hampshire.
You did it! Got it done! (ish) :)
ReplyDeleteThe front area of the office building is so pretty! All your fall pics make me swoon, per usual! And I love the pumpkin carving!
