Lots of dailyness in these photos, but we like normal and routine, even when its full, and largely without Shaun :(.

your breath or a meadow of flowers
leave you speechless, remain that way.
Say nothing and listen as Heaven
whispers, "Do you like it?
I did it just for you.”

Day 1 of a new training program. There's a half marathon in my hometown the end of April.
February 7
Another! snow day.

When its Aiden and I grocery shopping, I throw most of the items to him then he puts them in the cart. He has amazing reflects. :) He's also great at giving me "the eyes" such that things like mini bagel pizzas end up in our cart. ;)
He saved up his money and comparison shopped for this lego set. He spent hours looking at the box, thinking, dreaming, planning, waiting for the day when Shaun would be home to help him.

The kids can make fun out of a kiddie pool or a large, iced-over puddle in the yard.
We had an inordinate amount of fun at the library.
February 10
Finally the day arrived! Shaun didn't have to be in to work until 10, so they started building the Lego set before breakfast.

Amanda was part of the worship team for the weekend. Its a big sacrifice, taking about 8 hours of the weekend, but its beautiful to see her serving and using her gifts.
J had a horse show...she sent me photos with all her ribbons!
Aiden staring at that box!!!! For days!-- A new training program? Another half? You're amazing. I'm 'slightly' tempted to do it with you.
ReplyDeleteI love how Shaun takes that precious slice of time during his busy season in the morning to help with Legos. That will surely be a memory that sticks with Aiden for a lifetime. That’s a big deal to a kiddo who has patiently waited!
