Project 365, Week 22

School wrap up, soccer, demolition, friends, family, a holiday and much more not pictured crammed into this week. Counting my blessings for the good things in life.

May 24
Pretty morning to walk and pray.

Avery and Aiden were deep into end-of-year school work

May 25
Comp tryouts for the fall. I admire the kids for doing brave things.

May 26
Aiden had the opportunity to do independent study for math. He completed the program (with a little cramming at the end), which set him up for this fall to take high honors Algebra I at the high school (which is connected to the middle school by a hallway). Go, Aiden!! (And also props to Shaun, who stayed by Aiden's side talking him through concepts.)

May 27
Some ladies from church got together to celebrate our friend's birthday. She lost her husband less than a year ago. I've watched these women come along side her, through his illness and her loss. Its sad and tragic while at the same time a beautiful thing to witness the community surround and support her. We need people!

May 28
Avery was happy to come home from school to her boy. He was pretty happy, too.

May 29
"Its demo day!"

Amanda had a Memorial Day soccer tournament...I watched this game in a winter coat because it was 45 degrees!!

May 30
At 6AM Shaun and I were up with a 2 year-old...they were changing lightbulbs together.

More soccer. :)

Nana and Grandpa John were up from Florida for the week so we had the family over. It was nice to have everyone together. The kids watched Snow White with Nana.

It happened to be her birthday!

And our 27th anniversary! It certainly wasn't our most romantic one ever, but we logged another year. Life is good.

May 31
Another early morning with the baby. He and the dog kept me company during my workout.

We stopped in at the cemeteries to visit Shaun's grandfather's sites, both veterans.

Then we headed to Shaun's dad's house for a picnic and the annual Unbirthday party, where all the kids birthdays get celebrated at one time. There was fierce competition with the wiffle ball game, fish to catch, chickens to chase and PoohSticks to play.
