Project 365, Week 49

This was a treatment week, so it was pretty quiet on my end. They are tough weeks, there is no getting around it. I wasn't feeling pure joy, but I trust there is a process and "perfect and complete, needing nothing" sounds better than the opposite of that. And so, we trust.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider
it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your
endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully
developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

December 2
It worked for the local siblings to meet for breakfast to celebrate Dad's birthday. Another year together is a gift! He's one of the good guys and one of my favorite things about him is we've always known he loves being a dad. He says it and he shows it regularly.

December 3
Taco Tuesday date with my beautiful girl. Adult children are where its at!

December 4
The cancer center. Had a professional driver with me and good company, too.

December 5
Woke up to beautiful snow and Avery who was up and busy getting the tree decorated.

December 6
Part of my pre-treatment preparation is making sure this door is clean because I know it will be my view for the next several days. But a week earlier I caught Aiden looking out the door contemplatively while deliberately placing his hands on the glass. He meant no harm, he was just...being a boy, I guess? So I left the fingerprints and took delight that we are still in the kid-fingerprints-on-glass season.

December 7
Amanda's school did a shopping outing, which meant she got to have her phone, which meant I got to see her beautiful face! Adult children are where its at.

December 8
Aiden and I wrapped up the last of the puzzle. Close to adult children are where its at. :)

Every year our town's fire department does a drive-by light parade. So generous and so festive!
