Project 365, Week 29

Well....I'm here, in this world, in this space. Its been a wild summer, specifically these last four weeks and I've had zero discretionary screen time for about a month. A part of me wants to drop blogging like a rock, wondering why I ever started sharing in the first place. The other part of me is committed to catching up because I just dropped my daughter off at school and these glimpses of home that I share are a lifeline to her. Hi, Amanda 💜 (maybe a few others of you like to check in too...thanks for that!).

Its a fun story (for next time)...we had a signed contract on a lake house and we were just waiting for the attorneys to do their attorney stuff. Time was of the essence, but it was out of our control. That didn't stop Shaun from planning, pacing, being frustrated, watching the clock, losing sleep.

After a full week, I woke up this Monday morning looking at all the things that had not gotten done. I did a quick sweep of B's room and found a thank you note! It blew me away.

Nana's place pairs new people up with a "buddy", someone to help them get settled, meet new people and get involved. Her buddy is very sweet and understanding.

As we were (very impatiently) awaiting news of our lake house, this sweet picture came up.

Amanda bought me flowers at the local flower stand.

July 15
It was a beautiful evening for watching softball with my beautiful girl.

July 16
Every morning, Shaun sends me a picture from the golf course.

Working out a crossword puzzle over a few days.

July 17
Aiden has found a nice little corner upstairs at the office where he can work on his pilot's ground school.

July 18
Its a rare occurrence, but we enjoyed a date. Good thing we went, because during the live music, Shaun heard the answer to one of the crossword clues. :)

July 19
Pretty morning light.

She's been working quite a bit so I stole her for lunch when I saw the opportunity.

More flowers!

The kids loaded up and headed to New Hampshire for the week, where they were on staff for kids camp. Shaun and I stood in the driveway watching them go, thanking God for all of it.

After we visited with Nana, we did another date while we were still kidless (and in an effort to distract Shaun from his pacing).
