Project 365, Week 31

Our first full week working on the lake house and we were abounding with enthusiasm, energy and optimism. We hired out for a few things such as septic, power washing, pool opening, well pump, re-finishing hardwood floors. The rest we did on our own, hour after hour, day after day.

Given his experience, Shaun played project manager. He knew the jobs that needed to be done in the order that was most efficient and the accompanying materials needed. Every morning he had a new list posted to act as a guide. We divided and there was activity buzzing in all corners of the property. My pictures are certainly not comprehensive. I struggled to walk, I was gone picking up supplies or I was shopping online for all the things. These photos are from my very limited point of view, but hopefully give the idea.

A priority was buying a grill, in an effort to make dinner quick, easy and affordable for a crowd of people.

On this morning, it ended up being just Nathan, Armand and I. We had a very short amount of time to clean up the work space for a potential renter to do a walk thru. We stuffed everything into closets and buttoned up what we could to make it look presentable for the showing.

A room done (minus the ceiling fan)! Someday this would make a beautiful first floor master suite, but for now it is the TV/game room, right off the living room.

Aiden and I ran a quick errand to get his driver's permit!!

Amy took me to New York for a follow up with the pain team. We got whisked in with a different doctor, who scheduled me for an injection. The nurse's lanyard was festive and I asked to take a picture for B, who is a big fan.

Happy to be together.

The weekend was a flurry of activity with lots of extra bodies, more projects being opened up and others being completed.

It was SO good to be at church and just the five seconds with these faces was a boost. Twins and twins!
