Project 365, Week 25

This was our first full week of summer vacation! We were adjusting from our west coast trip, from company and festivities and getting used to the kids having LOTS of time on their hands.

June 17
Nana thought she was treating us all to dinner out, but we had a little surprise waiting for her...a 90th birthday celebration! We are thankful for her and the role she has played in our lives all these years.
She loves her family and she loves life, taking great delight in the big things and the small. She is a crossword puzzle whiz and is a social butterfly. She has been purposeful about having a relationship with her grandkids and even great-grandchildren. She has a witty sense of humor and a generous spirit. We're thankful for Nana.

When we're with Nana, you can count on a poker showdown. :)

June 19
Amanda worked diligently a yard project. It takes a lot of doing, but once she sets her mind to something, she's a force.

June 20
Cool cats roaming around the neighborhood.

June 21
After dropping the girls off at youth group, the boys and I went to dinner and then hung out at the bookstore.

June 22
In celebration of Avery's birthday, she had a friend sleepover then we went out to lunch and shopping, one of her most favorite things.

June 23
Easy Sunday afternoon

Aiden and I had an epic game of golf with a whiffle ball and bat. He made up the rules and kept the score and helped me determine which club to use, depending on the situation I was in. It lasted well over an hour and it was precious!

  1. All the heart eyes for you golf game! So special that you turned the tables on Nana. She's quite remarkable for 90!
