Project 365, Week 43

We were assured a beautiful autumn foliage season because of all the rain we had this summer. And it truly is striking! When the light comes simmering through the leaves, its entirely enchanting.

Also, we love chasing the kids around to all their games. And we did that quite a bit this week.

"My" farm, near sunrise. The one in the middle is our new office building.

October 20
Aiden and I went granite shopping. He was surprisingly helpful.

Game time, and they got to play under the lights.

October 21
Games x2.

October 22
I was compelled to stop at the lake after dropping the kids in the morning. Sooo pretty!

Shaun and I went to pick out some supplies, including wood for a countertop. We even got a tour of the wood plant. Plant? Store? Place?

The girls played against their friend, which was fun.

October 23

Our contractor doesn't come on the weekends, but this Saturday he did and brought his son. Together, the two dads and two sons poured concrete and put up the sign post.

We had this sweet little girl overnight...thankfully, Avery took the 1am feeding!

Another sweet girl overnight. She worked hard to figure out the best way to do a wax seal on envelopes. Lots of trial and error!

Looking out my front window. The light!!

Project 365, Week 42

Though not peak, this week started to get really pretty! It was nice to have the kids off of school for a couple days. When people say, 'fall is my favorite season', weeks like this must be what they are talking about. There is so much beauty to breathe in.

October 11
This day was our annual pilgrimage to Buell's orchard. Crowds and inventory were about a quarter of what they usually are but we had fun hanging with family on this fall day.

In this family you better know how to catch a football! :)

October 12

Avery drove me to the Nathan Hale Homestead here in town so I could take some pictures at sunset.

October 13
This keeper worked hard during practice. :)

Another away game means new friends to make, even a random pink whale. Also, Avery scored the one and only goal of the game! :)

October 14
Its just so beautiful!!

Seeing your name in the sports section of the newspaper. :)

Aiden got to play under the lights!

October 15
In addition to significant preparation before and follow-up after, we had a three-hour zoom call with a person who was auditing our business, making sure we are following all 10,734 government regulations for the financial services industry. When all was said and done, we got the highest rating, "Adequate".

Busy, happy kitchen post-youth group.

October 16

I took the kids to the park first thing in the morning so they could do Faith & Football.

October 17
Family soccer. We provided the ref, coach, goalie and photographer. :)
