Before activities wind down for the season, there is usually a burst of events right at the end. This was that week. All seven days were scheduled with a sport or activity, many were double-booked. But its so neat to watch the kids growing and developing...learning to be on a team and building character.
June 3
Fourth grade chorus and recorder concert. Aiden's was among the first two classes to go so it wasn't bad. For now, he's explored music all that he cares to.
Amanda and her school friend got together to "work on a project". :)
Later, at Aiden's game, she found more friends.
June 4
Town soccer tryouts. Shaun and I were marveling at how far they've come. There was a time when they didn't even want to try out for fear of failing. There was a time when one girl made it and one girl did not. But we worked through those things and this night was just a formality.
June 5
Nearly all of Amanda's class was at a field trip that she didn't want to go on, so I let her stay home. I took her out to lunch and to the fabric store so she could gather materials for a project. This sweet girl needs all the special time we can give her.
June 6
More soccer.
June 7
We had a couple guests at the girls game.
June 8
And Aiden's baseball game, too.
The girls had their final game of the season and afterwards the team came over for pizza and s'mores. We also set a record for most people in the hot tub at one time. ;)
June 9
The Junior Bible Quiz kids so enjoy D...he's somewhat of a mascot.
Sunday afternoon chill...
