Project 365, Week 30

Lots of summer fun this week! We really were created to be in relationship.

July 22
Friends have a beautiful spot on the lake and are always very generous with it and purposeful about using it to bless others. This day they invited a family who needed a respite from their cancer journey to have some fun downtime. After two years of walking so much hard, it was so amazing to be with them having fun. It was such a great day! Thankful for friends, for community in the good times and bad.

Amanda's first time up on skis!

My man...he's still got it!

July 23
Summer grocery shopping with the crew, plus friends.

July 24
I got to reconnect with a dear friend from high school who was going to be "up north" after more than 20 years. He's now married with five children! They spent a couple nights with us and we had such a wonderful time catching up and watching the kids make connections. It was a really easy, sweet time together.

July 25
Amy opened up her pool and yard to us for an afternoon of fun.

July 26
The game of chess is one of intense strategy...or good target practice with a nerf gun!

July 27
My niece turned one. Lots of games, lots of cousins, lots of fun!

...with a sleepover at the end!

July 28
Lots of work on the apartment.

Amanda and Aiden have a shared love of The Land of Stories series, which they are both re-reading for the second time.

  1. Man! Your intro is so true. This is such a beautiful post about community and family and relationship. New, old, hard, easy, every-day, after-decades....all of it here in one beautiful package of a week! I'm so blessed I was part of some of it. ALL of your pix are great! Can't believe E is 1!!!
