Project 365, Week 28

Some summer fun this week!

July 5
Many thanks to Nana for making this family event possible. Years ago she had the brilliant idea...as a Christmas gift to everyone, she funds a sporting event of our choosing throughout the year. We go early and stay late to tailgate and just enjoy a day hanging out together. We've had some wins and losses with the weather, but this year was perfect! We watched the US Women's soccer team in a "friendly" with Mexico and then stayed to watch the send off ceremony on their way to the Olympics. We had so much fun!!

Nathan, of all people would appreciate this photo being in here. 😛

Amanda's aunt ran her down to where the Mexican players were taking selfies with fans. Clearly, Amanda was quite pleased!

July 6
More soccer! Amy and Colombo opened their place so that we could spend the day with a family who was commemorating the one-year mark of their husband/dad passing. Instead of moping around, why not hang out with friends and get clawed in a game of pool basketball?

July 7
Nearly every week TBQ begins with football.

July 8
My only picture. The bathroom at the office building has and interesting color scheme. Trying to decide what it should be changed to.

July 9
The remnants of a hurricane came up the east coast and we got 3+ inches of rain in a very short amount of time. While the girls were babysitting, Shaun and Aiden made the rounds to our various buildings doing water damage control. I was at the office and when I looked out the window, my car was being swallowed up. Shortly after, I waded out up to my knees to move it to dry ground.

July 10
Post storm, the stream at the office building was going strong.

July 11
We got to meet sweet 12 day-old Rosalie and we're completely, madly in love.
