Project 365, Week 29

.
This week was Vacation Bible Camp at our church, which ran 9-2 each day. Somehow, my kids are all old enough to be leaders (seriously no idea how that happened!!). In his "swing" year, Aiden chose to be a kid/participant for his last year, but the girls were both leaders. It was such a neat thing to see them using their unique gifts, Amanda singing on the praise team and being FUN and Avery being responsible and organizing kids and other leaders, delighting in time spent with young children. Aiden was fully engaged and energetic and had a blast hanging with his bros.

Nathanael and Aiden helped me load 12 foot boards that are going on the ceiling.

Pop and Kiki had been gone traveling for many weeks, so we gathered to see them. As is usually the case when the cousins are together, there was a football game involved. Even though we see each other regularly, its still a wonder how BIG they all are!

Ginger had a little excitement on our morning walk. :)

We dropped the girls off at church at 8am but Aiden didn't need to be there until 9, so with DD and a pillow he brought and a game on my phone, he set up shop because....he's the BIRTHDAY BOY!!

One of his gifts was that his sisters both got a pie to the face! :)

We grabbed a few friends and did bowling/arcade/laser tag. Such a great group of boys!

We dropped the boys at home, picked up Shaun and the girls and went to Aiden's favorite restaurant (because they have bison!). TWELVE years old and such a joy!

Cousins!

Hot game for the girls, but so fun to see them back playing with their high school team.

July 15
Very funny to watch the Hulk do the song motions on Super Hero theme day.

The teens and young adults really made the week possible. It was incredible to see them each in their roll, making a positive impact on young lives and having so much fun doing it.

Rocco got Aiden the perfect tool belt!

Tough weekend. We've been out of balance and pushing hard for so long, it should be no surprise when the wheels start to fall off. Breathe and pray, pray and breathe.

July 18
Avery and I have had some nice time together preparing the ceiling boards. Hope it looks good when its done! :)

More power tools! Aiden has been working hard and appreciates all he's been learning. I'm thankful he's learning from Mr. Safety.
