Fun week celebrating our country's freedom and a big milestone for Amanda.
July 3
Aiden's dedication to and passion about soccer has been inspiring! He's doing two days of conditioning, two days of captain's practices and one game a week. And sometimes he does extra with his dad/sisters.
After the rain, the sun came out enough to show pretty colors for sunset as I drove to pick Amanda up from work (for what would be the last time).
July 4
Happy 4th! I love this photo that came up in memories, taken at the cabin in Maine with two little girls at the sweetest ages.
It went from raining to pouring most of the morning and afternoon, but it cleared up towards late afternoon for the picnic already scheduled and at DiSalvatores. It was a big 'ole group of our church friends and it was so much fun!
Even at picnics, Pastor Mitch can be found hanging out with the youth.
July 5
Avery really wanted to do a beach trip, so we pulled it together last minute. The first hour was overcast but then it cleared up and was beautiful. It was my great delight to be there with my girls.
We were back in time for Amanda's first summer league game. Avery was on the sidelines with us now that she's graduated. Weird!
Amanda stepped into her senior role and took some leadership. She also volunteered to be goalie since theirs was injured.
July 6
A friend spread the word about an e-sports camp at a Bible college a couple hours away. After encouraging Aiden to take advantage of the opportunity, I found out that the "e" stands for electronic. A camp for video gamers. Ha! He got to go with his tight group of bros so it was a win! Pastor Mitch drove them and spent the first day.
The moms behind those boys, just missing Meg.
July 7
The big day...Amanda's driver's test. She passed and is now a licensed driver!
And in no time she was off to run errands and then go to work. Just before she drove out of sight, she blew me a kiss and waved with a big smile and my heart melted.
July 8
Avery and Jack were in Boston to see a Thomas Rhett concert. They had a blast!
July 9
Shaun's first Sunday driving shuttle and it worked out that he was there when we needed to be picked up. All I could think of was the song from My Fair Lady, "Get Me To The Church On Time".
I was able to capture the 60 seconds Aiden was on the field. Hmph!
