Project 365, Week 44

Just like that, we're into November and the countdown to 52 weeks is on.

October 30
Mondays is Avery's most school-intensive day, both with in-person classes and school work.

October 31
Last regular season game and Amanda got to play against her friend Sarah, who played in her last high school game ever. Even though her friend lost, it was special to be there for it.

It was a quick change and then we headed to church to serve at the Harvest Festival, where several thousand children and parents from the community come to play games and get candy. Its an all-hands-on-deck event and so much fun!

Shaun drove the shuttle, I took pictures and the kids were at different stations in the carnival and toddler areas.

A throwback, for fun.

November 1
The temperature was expected to dip below freezing overnight so Shaun brought in some of my potted plants and I cut all the hydrangea blooms. What a treat to have them in the house!

November 2
We've talked about it for years and it just never happens. But finally...our TBQ team shirts are a reality!! Jack designed the front and the kids all got to pick a name and number for the back of the shirt. To save money, I asked my sister-in-law, Sarah if she would be willing to help out and she jumped at it. She worked her Cricket machine magic and all I had to do was iron them on. I was so excited to present them to the team.

November 3
Ginger loves Aiden. :)

Amanda was made for pep rallies.

November 4
TBQ Meet day! We did a little scrambling because several volunteers canceled last minute but we worked it out and it ended up being a great day! We're growing our relationships with the quizzers and leaders from other churches and its just a really fun and special time.

I believe this picture is just missing one leader and three students. So great to have our shirts!!

November 5
Five o'clock and very nearly dark on the first day of the clocks changing. In these darker months, I find it more work to think happy thoughts. I try to appreciate candlelight, light from the fireplace, lamplight; embrace the cozy but also not give in to full hibernation.
