Project 365, Week 38

I'm taking in the sweetness of life these days, enjoying my first treatment-free September in three years, doing what I can to take full advantage.

September 17
Thanks to an early flight, we arrived home from SD before noon and jumped into the day.  I'm grateful for the time Amy and I had together and it was so good to see my gang back home. Not sure how much I was missed though...they were all pretty happy with the fact that they let dishes pile up in the sink (though they were done for my arrival) and they didn't have to eat home-cooked meals but instead ate pizza. Its so nice to be loved and appreciated. 🤣

September 18
I really enjoy the time Aiden and I get in the car together when I take him to Midweek. Also, the view from the church is incredible.

September 19
Our first time out wedding venue shopping. Jack and Avery were so generous to extend the invite to us moms.

I sat outside on a gorgeous afternoon with a full heart and wondered at the goodness of my life.

In the final seconds, Aiden saved a PK to maintain their one-point lead and win the game. There was much celebrating!

September 20
I don't take a single one of my morning walks for granted. The benefits of stepping out in nature each day to breathe and pray and just be are highly underrated. It doesn't remove the hard of life but maybe softens it a bit.

September 21
Amanda's boyfriend Jason is a senior and starting WR on his high school team. Our Saturday morning was open so went to watch. We had so much fun!

Touchdown!

Aiden was with a small group from TBQ at a tournament in New Jersey. He was put on a team in a lower division than usual and he placed 3rd! The kids all reported it was lots of fun and the moms were kind enough to send some photos.

Do you remember The 21st night of September?

Caught a glimpse of Amanda doing an outdoor movie at school, popcorn included!

September 22
We had a Youth Takeover service so the teens got plugged into ministry places like worship team, greeters and announcements. It was a delight to see them all in action.

Another Amanda sighting, taking notes in the middle frame.

Sunday afternoons are for football and naps. :)
