We're still transitioning from full-on work mode to a fall/school rhythm.
September 1
Labor Day was as early as it can be on the calendar. We spent much of it at the lake for both a work and play day. Shaun has an elbow injury, so he has started to substitute golf for fishing some mornings, which definitely mixes up the picture he sends me every day.
Nana spent the afternoon with us and she was even able to get down to the beach. This lake holds so many memories for her, going back almost 80 years ago. She thinks its just the best thing that the whole family is in the house together.
September 2
Takeout dinner at the lake (and with Avery!!)
September 3
We were there working, but we've gotten to the point where work and play go hand-in-hand.
Very serious fantasy draft.
September 4
Scenes from the golf course.
Several years ago we sided the office where clients could see. This week our contractor friend came back to finish the job. Very exciting!!
Fascinating to hear Shaun and Aiden talk Physics. Its a bit clunky but we're working our way through week two of dual enrollment school for Aiden.
September 5
It was a beautiful Night of Worship with six to eight hundred people gathered.
September 6
The boys found a good spot!
At the last minute, Aiden invited his group over for some fun on the water. They're such an easy, trustworthy bunch. Its such a gift that they have each other. to do life with.
Their canoe race across the lake as the wind picked up was pretty entertaining.
September 7
Nana looked so peaceful sleeping, I hated to wake her with my visit.
Football Sunday!!
