Project 365, Week 14

Lots of hours at the office to finish the last couple weeks. Lots of beautiful spring weather causing us to dream about all the good things to come. And best of all this week, Easter....the thing that makes this life we're living have purpose and eternal meaning.

April 3
I love everything about this photo. Our family, and countless others, had many sweet and impactful years with Brent and cousins, learning about theater and ministry and hard work and having the best time! So very grateful for this era.

April 4
Spring is in the air!! Amy and I had a walk planned, but when life happened, we pivoted and met with kids and dogs on broken chairs in the driveway and it was perfect.

April 5
The church space was dedicated to all things Passion, so we held TBQ practice at our house, complete with pizza and candy. :)

April 6
I did a modified spring cleaning of the back porch and then sat for a bit putting the final touches on the Easter grocery list for the crowd we'd be hosting and I thought, life is just so sweet.

April 7
Good Friday and the kids were off of school. Avery asked how she could be helpful and started setting up for our Easter gathering.

Amanda was serving at the final show and Shaun, Avery and Aiden were at soccer, so had a quiet hour or so to listen to Easter music while I baked. I am completely undone by the work that was done on the cross. Its something I cannot understand, yet I know it more surely than anything else.

April 8
Morning soccer games and a day at the office.

I had some helpers who are getting to be more and more capable.

April 9
Our first Sunday Easter service (as opposed to Saturday night) in a very long time.

We sat with Amy and Juliet and discovered green was the theme color. In a church where you are welcome to come in pajama pants, it was fun to see everyone in their "Sunday best".

Together. What a gift.

A friend somehow gathered and captured this team of kids workers. Every Sunday they serve in kids church. The leaders empower the teens, training and encouraging them.

We had 40 people over on a beautiful day. Everyone brought food and people helped in the kitchen and it was so great to be together!

The size of the egg-hunters has dwindled, the size of the egg-hiders almost as big, but by next year we'll be building it back up (👶!!) It was a special day of celebration and being together. I ended the day tired and with a full heart.
