Sweet girls doing Easter together in Penn.
Meanwhile in CT, we were getting final preparations ready for the after-church Easter celebration with friends and family. Easter is the holiday when we have both sides of the family and family of family who have become family. Its really special.
The group of kids who are of age to do an egg hunt has been shrinking but I wanted to have every one involved. I reached out to Jack and Kelly who are rec staff geniuses and veterans, and they enthusiastically agreed to take it on. Working together, they gathered supplies and prizes and in general went above and beyond.
While the kid group is (temporarily) shrinking, the grandparent group is growing (I wish I'd gotten a picture!) There were 15 grandparents and great-grandparents present!!
The "kids", ages 3-28 gathered on the porch so Jack and Kelly could call out the four teams and explain the games and scoring system. They did a remarkable job getting buy-in and the big ones were very generous with their willing cooperation. It was a whole lot of competitiveness in one place.
