Project 354, Week 45

This week was unique because the kids Tuesday, Election Day off so their school could be used as a polling place and then they had three half days for parent/teacher conferences. It was nice having them around so much (and not because they had time to help with leaves, although we definitely utilized them).

It was splendidly warm and beautiful, a gift any time, but especially this far into autumn.

November 7
Because it was 70 and sunny, we left the office and had a lunch date on the patio of a favorite restaurant. We are so grateful for the days we have together.

November 8
We used this day off to get in a couple of appointments and also Jack came over. They played a game and then he was so sweet to jump in and help us finish up with the leave project.

We used a gift card from a family loving us from a distance and enjoyed a lovely dinner....

...and then we went to the theater to see Aladdin. Such a rare night out with the five of us since we've been in soccer season for months and Avery has started to work many evenings and weekends. It was a treat, for sure!

November 9
Just when we think the leaves are done...the backyard!

November 10
Ahhh...the life. A book, a porch, a quiet afternoon, the sun.

November 11
Shaun's dad, Shaun and Aiden went golfing together. I picked Aiden up a little early from the course and happened to be in the parking lot when they were at a nearby hole. Three generations. :)

From there, Aiden and I went to Pop and Kiki's house, where they served a delicious lunch and Aiden even got to drive the tractor!

November 12
I took the first wave of travelers to the airport...there was excitement in the air!

Aiden joined some friends for a UCONN football game. They played #19 in the nation, Liberty, and beat them! The kids got to rush the field at the end! Such a memorable life experience with a really great group of kids.
