Project 365, Week 42

We had a full, fun week.

October 10
I had an engagement shoot.  It was make-your-nose-run cold outside.

October 11
I met up with a good part of our families at Buells Orchard...a Columbus Day tradition.  I stole these two from my sister on FB.  The four of us siblings...back together again!
The four of us have been busy over the last 11 years.  The fourteen and a half cousins...back together again!

October 12
My friend Shelva and her two were home for a visit and we got to spend a nice morning with them.  Shelva and I spent many years not really convinced we wanted any children, so it makes me kinda shake my head to see our five together....what a scrappy bunch they all make. :)

October 13
Little man is fifteen months and happy after his ice-cream sandwich.
October 14
A little late, but I finally carved out time to decorate for fall.  The girls had a blast helping me and shockingly, yet typically, Avery remembered where each decoration had gone last year.  She's got a big 'ol computer working in that small head of hers.

Later, we went to see the last dress rehearsal of The Lost Son.  Kids under 13 are not permitted (for good reason) but the girls really wanted to see their family perform and we felt confident the content would go WAY over their heads.  This is the best looking Sound Director I've ever met. :)

Have you seen The Lost Son?  You must!  Tonight at 6 and next weekend, too.
Here's a little glimpse:

October 15
We finally conceded it was time to turn on our primary heat source.  As much of a pain as it is, I'm thankful to have it.  It would be a significant hardship to heat this 4000 sq ft 1895 old Victorian without it.
This was the scene that quickly followed outside my kitchen window.  Shaun wasn't paying close enough attention and got the fire going too strong.  He (and his helpers) are watching the chimney.  I was just happy it wasn't me...I've taken my turn having someone call the fire department.
October 16
Shaun called a family fun day and we took the kite out to a local park.  It was plenty windy.

  1. Looks like a great week. I've been randomly using my Edenpure heater near my computer table - this morning we used it to heat up the living room & then this afternoon we turned the air on while I vacuumed. Yesterday we had ice in our bird bath. Crazy weather!

  2. Check out all those cousins! I'm sure they all have such a sweet bond!
