This week finally wrapped up school for ALL the kids, so we switched into summer mode a little, trying to do a couple things together before everyone is in and out with camps and getaways.

My brother and sister and our families got together at my dad's house to celebrate Father's Day. These three do dad-ing well.
When the three of us get together, there are 17 kids...plenty for a full soccer game!
I like this shot my SIL took. There is a solid chance they are deep in conversation about Star Wars. :)

And in fact, we did a sleepover and the next morning I let them watch one of the movies. This is them on the opening song. :)

First day of summer! We stopped and smelled the roses and then later met up with cousins to see Cars 3 at the drive-in, a first for most of the kids and a fun time...quintessential summer!

Work continues at the other house. Sometimes the kids aren't into it at all but sometimes they dig in and work diligently and happily.
June 23
I dropped Aiden off for his very first non-family sleepover, although very thankfully, Uncle Nathan was one of the leaders! Sometimes its about who you know, and this year Aiden was able to go to Pow-Wow (a year early).
June 24
Happy Birthday to my first born, Avery May. What a blessing (and how tall!) she is!
June 25
Though the youngest in his outpost, Aiden came back with the only trophy from the weekend's competitions....in lassoing. His great-grandfather was a legit cowboy in Montana, so its in his blood. He came back glowing and filled with stories of his adventures.
With Aiden back, we sang to Avery and ate her Oreo cake. Happy 12 years!
I finally figured out how to get in. Love to keep up with all the doings of everyone.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Avery is 12! I love that you guys went to a drive-in. I wonder if there's one around here anymore?
