Project 365, Week 22

Post Memorial Day weekend, it was a sweet week of celebration as we stopped to recognize our anniversary and wind down the school year.

May 30
Our 29th wedding anniversary!! My heart is so full, its hard to put the last three decades into words. So much life has happened from when we were 19 & 23 standing at the altar to the present. As Shaun says, we've had a really good run.

We more or less agree on the majors...values, beliefs but on the minors we are different in nearly every way....hot/cold, early/late, etc. But those differences makes us fit together perfectly, like a puzzle piece.

We went to Boston for 24 hours and it was perfect weather conditions to walk the city...we did about 7 miles and saw so much beauty. In Beacon Hill, they go all out with flowers in their window boxes and planters. The Charles River was sparkling and we were just happy to be together.

Two years ago when we went to Boston for Shaun's birthday, we happened upon this restaurant. The burgers (yes, burgers!) were so memorable, we talked about them ever since. Shaun got me a gift card for Christmas to ensure we'd go back and we did! :)

May 31
The next morning we sat in a sweet little coffee shop attached to our hotel on a corner that provided fascinating people watching, a nice mixture of tourists and professionals.

We got back home in time to do a call with the doctor and waited long enough to make us late for the Senior Awards Night. But we got to see Avery accept a couple scholarships.

June 1
Aiden had a makeup game and it was the loveliest evening to sit outside watching soccer, listening to podcasts.

June 2
This was Avery's last day of classes and the last lunch box note I will write her, something I've done since first grade.

June 3
It was a cold and rainy weekend, but we did as much as we could around the yard.

The high school softball team made it to the state championship. We went to support Amanda's friend (the pitcher) in their home game.

June 4
Cold and rainy Sunday morning soccer game, watching my favorite, fearless goalie in action.
