Project 365, Week 16

This was a deep exhale week. Test results showed that there is no new cancer, just a fractured hip. Tax season ended and we made it to Florida for a week of rest and family time.

April 18
Second MRI in eight days, and on the last day of the tax season. Why not??

We did it...finished another season!  This one had some...challenges. I love that we get to work together and see each other all day.

April 19
We had a company-wide end-of-season party with about 20 people. This is our little power team.

We encouraged Amanda to find an activity for the spring and some of her friends suggested she join them on the tennis team. Even though she's never played before, she was welcomed. I went to watch her first match. Its a very different experience than soccer, most notably the silent-ness of it. She and her friend played doubles against girls who were about the same level and they all seemed to have fun.

April 21
Shaun and I had a late meeting, but then Avery's boyfriend (Jack) came over for game time.

April 22
Road. Trip!! We were ready to get out of town, head to Florida and take life down a notch. When we bought this Suburban we had six children living with us, but it also works nicely for three. Traveling to and from was smooth and easy. Shaun is a rockstar driving through the night, with me picking up 3-4 hours of the early morning shift.

April 23
When we stopped for breakfast, we had our first palm tree sighting. Yay!!!

When we cross the Georgia/Florida line, we play Cruise by Florida Georgia Line and then we stop at the welcome center and celebrate that we made it. :)

We stayed on Anna Maria Island on the west coast, where we've been several times, though always in a different house. This year we were just one block from the beach in a house that was perfect for our group of 17, consisting of all three of Shaun's siblings and their families. Additionally, his mom, our Nana and his dad came to visit for a day.

April 24
From our back porch we had a beautiful view of the sun coming up over the bay each morning.

The kids (and big kids, aka Dads) thought the game room was great fun.
