Project 365, Week 20

Tennis, soccer, baseball, golf, kickball, more soccer...lots of sports this week. What a blessing to have healthy, active kids!

May 16

Early morning conversations with a toddler...good stuff.

Avery knew Jack would be pitching, so I joined her to watch his game.

Meanwhile, at the golf course, Aiden scored (achieved? made?) his first par!

May 17

Spa-ring!!

The middle school had another concert, their first normal one in several years. The music teacher was giddy about it...mixed feelings from the tweens. With all of them gathered like that, I was reminded how very difficult this time in life can be. I actually enjoyed the relatively short concert but I also spent most of it praying for these poor kids.

May 18

Speaking of school activities, Amanda played in another tennis match. She enjoys playing and looks forward to next year, having some experience under her belt.

I gathered a couple extras to head up to the Mid-Week gathering at our EW campus. We had time to stop for our traditional Wednesday Chick-fil-A. Love hanging with the kids! 

I stayed for a bit to watch their outdoor time, which was a rousing game of kickball. These two dispel the myth that pastors are stuffy and don't have fun. So grateful for our awesome staff.

May 19

Now that we're in the quieter part of the year, we've got a bunch of project going. One of mine is updating our website...to that end, I gathered our crew for headshots (everyone was very excited ;)

Amanda had soccer tryouts for a premier team. I stayed to watch and walk the dog on a beautiful evening.

When we got home Aiden was cooking his eggs, like he does several nights a week when he doesn't like dinner. I laughed at him in his flannel pjs and robe...he's an old man! :)

May 20

After taking several weeks off, TBQ met again with our new books for the new season. 

The kids so sweetly got Katie and I flowers as a 'thank you' for being their leaders. We love doing it and pour many hours into it every week and it is a great privilege for both of us.

Low key Saturday.

Jay stopped by for a bit, it was so good to get some porch time with her. We took a picture because Avery wasn't home and its my only one of the day.
