I first saw the idea of Project 365 at Rachel's blog, and got very excited. Later I saw it as PAD 2009 at Altering Life. The idea sounds like fun, but also a lot of work. I learned back in October when I was shooting foliage every day of the month that it sounds easier than the follow through actually is.
However, I like the idea of using my camera every day and all the good practice that will come with it and I also like the idea of documenting our wonderfully mundane, simple lives. What put me over the edge was the suggestion to post only once a week. There is just no way I could commit to blogging every single day for an entire year. So that's the deal...once-a-week post for this project, but with a picture from each day.
Although it bugs me to not be starting at the very beginning of the year, I will not let it stop me, and neither should you if you are interested in joining. Check out ...make music from your heart to the Lord for more details.
Think I can do it? We'll see...thanks for hanging in with me! :) Since I only learned about it on the 9th, I have only a few for this week.
January 2
My "helpers" helping me put away Christmas decorations
January 4
The girls with their great-grandfather, while we tell him about his coming 4th-great grandchild
January 7

Girly stuff...can they possibly make these things any smaller?

You will definitely become inspired as you do this project. I did something similar last year. 30 Moments from My Everyday Life. It was such a wonderful experience. I'm contemplating doing it again. Thanks for the push!
ReplyDeleteyou an do it! it is fun taking pictures every day and with how fast kids grow-i bet in 10 years we will appreciate the year we took all the pictures!
ReplyDeletecongrats on being pregnant! yeah for babies!
It's so nice to meet you, Lisa. What a beautiful growing family you have!! You look so sweet pregnant! And I couldn't agree more with the girl stuff - why do girls like things so teeny-tiny and why do we have SO much of it?!!
ReplyDeleteBod bless you on your 365 journey! What an amazing year you have ahead of you!
I am thrilled you are doing this too, because you know how much I adore your picture-taking skills. ;) Your baby bump is just precious!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting a bump! :) You have the cutest little helpers! I know you feel blessed!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the 365 project, too! My problem is going to be choosing only one picture per day! And for those days you miss, you could take pictures around the house (like the dolls) and in a few years - or maybe months) you won't care that it wasn't THAT day :)
ReplyDeleteHow are you going to store your photos? I'm working on an album idea with divided page protectors, but I've also considered digital layouts.
I was also wondering what kind of camera you use? Your pictures turn out so well so consistently ... maybe it's the person behind the camera :)
I'm so glad you're getting on board. I did Project 365 last year and it really opened up a lot for me photographically. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is how I'm doing it too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your photos, you take the best pics (of course) Keep it up and I will too (just only on Sundays)
I joined in late too! Got caught up then fell back behind because of something new in our home keeping me occupied! lol too fun! I will be back.
