On Memorial Day, we declared the afternoon to be family time. We packed a lunch and headed out to a local state park. Although its only about 20 minutes away, Shaun and I had never been there...and we've missed out. Its so pretty there with picnic areas, swimming and hiking trails.
We did all three of those activities, though the kids didn't last long in the water...its still freezing!
It was such a treat to be together as a family, doing something recreational. Hoping for more of that this summer!
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

looks like a fantastic day! that area is gorgeous! We could do that here but the humidity would kill us! ha!
