Project 365, Week 41

There is so much to say that I really should insert a proper intro here, but its been a wonderful weekend and I'm tired and so I'll save it for another post.

October 5
We got to see our sweet E!!  Her foster family invited us to a festival at their church.  There were lots of games and food and it was just a beautiful New England day to be out.  She's in a good place and is being well cared for, but gosh, we still miss her!

The girls were scheming a sleepover and talking about little girl things.
Later, Pop and Kiki bought pizza for everyone and we enjoyed my two aunts and uncle, who were visiting from Idaho.
 October 6
I spent the day at my brother's house with his family...so handsome and such a good daddy.  He's one of the good guys.
 October 7
We were out the door at 7:15 AM to drop the girls at school and then to fulfill two appointments at the cancer center.  The first was to get scanned and tattooed with the radiologist and then upstairs to meet with the oncologist and then a blood draw for good measure.

Then we hopped in the car and headed to NYC.  We walked around the city for a bit, then had a nice dinner, where we weren't interrupted by kids even one time.
We saw our favorite Broadway show for not the first time, but with some minor changes that really enhanced it.
 October 8
The weather was perfect for walking and enjoying the sights and sounds of the city.  Such a beautiful morning walking back to our hotel after breakfast.
From 10-4 we were at Memorial Sloan Kettering, talking to doctors and getting further testing done. More on that, maybe tomorrow.  The waiting room, where we spent much of the day, was beautiful!
 October 9
Parent/teacher conferences.  Both teachers had good things to say about the girls.
Aiden was enjoying his new toy.

Soccer now ends at 7:00 and it is DARK.  :( Aiden wanted to guide his sisters to the car with his "light slaver".
October 10
Too nice and sunny on the porch to not do school out there.

October 11
I crossed the finish line after completing all 26.2 miles!!
