We were leaving the cancer center and someone came running out to tell us about a Survivor's Luncheon they are hosting.
"There is going to be a beautiful buffet, and gifts for all the survivors. There's even going to be a couple of the Patriots speaking."
"Oh...Aiden is a big Patriot's fan! Aiden, tell Mr. Phil who your favorite Patriot is."
"Nathan Hale."
(we all paused for a moment, trying to figure out what he was talking about)
(laughing) "No Buddy...its the football team...who's your favorite player on the Patriots?"
"Oh...Gronk!"
Hearing how enthusiastic Aiden is about Nathan Hale, Grandma brought him to his homestead, which is right in our area. Aiden's holding a letter Nathan's father wrote to him while he was attending Yale. The day was a big hit for Aiden.
My prayer is that Aiden grows up with a sense of honor and courage like Nathan Hale had.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
