March's 10 on 10

I considered not doing ten pictures this day because I am currently confined to the couch for 95% of my waking hours, but I thought maybe it'll be meaningful later when we're far removed from recovery mode.

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month (Thursday)!

You know what I don't take for granted anymore? Being able to walk down to my kitchen and make coffee in the morning.

Before-school snuggles. This sweet little guy keeps asking, Mom, is there anything I can do for you? When I was tucking him in bed much later this day I told him how much I appreciated all the times he asked me and that it made me feel loved. In his best grown-up voice he said, Well...that's what men do!

I thought to myself, that's actually not what most men do, but Aiden happens to have an incredible role model right under this roof with him. What a blessing...two boys with servants hearts.

How sweet is this new little gift??

I always prefer working on my desktop but the laptop gets the job done in a pinch.

H had a half day because of parent/teacher conferences. He was both freaked out and pleased that I would be speaking to all of his teachers (via phone, since I can't leave the house). He said its the first time anyone has attended one of his conferences. :(

Homework time.

With assistance, I washed all of Amanda's post-stomach bug bedding. Before they went in the washing machine she assured her stuffed friends that it was in everyone's best interest that they take a scary swim. We hope to be one and done!

There have been some challenges transitioning H into an environment where its expected that homework get done...and every night at that! We're trying different things, and Shaun thought an immediate reward might work. So in the morning he announced that he had a little break in the evening between appointments and would take all those whose homework was done out for ice cream. Four kids out of four got to go...hooray for small victories!

Studying for a big test on the Mid-Western region.

Ray and Quinn stopped by to say hi and he seems to be settling in. He said its been three weeks on his own...feels like much longer than that.

My favorite...finally home.
