Project 365, Week 10

I look back on this week and the word "affliction" comes to mind. We had our fair share of it. Its been hard, painful, laborious. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

February 29
In the pursuit to get my wound healed once and for all, we had a series of appointments in the city. The hotel allowed for a very early check-in...8 AM! What a pretty view!

March 1
Its a long story, which I'll blog about later this week, but this is me (and Amy) waiting to be taken into surgery. Some thought we looked like twins, some thought we looked nothing alike.

March 2
A day spent having vitals taken, reading, hosting a steady stream of various teams of doctors. Highlights of the day included walking on my own, peeing on my own, getting a morning coffee and kiss on the forehead from Shaun, Facetiming with the kids.

March 3
Highlights of this day...going home!! My brother-in-law Colombo arrived in a chariot to whisk me home. The fresh fruit for breakfast was nice, too.

March 4
Home, very sweet home. The kids had a half day of school and then we had lots of catching up to do.

March 5
My mom took the girls across the state to watch my niece Madison dance at a competition. Maddy is an incredible dancer and such an extraordinary person and we all love her so much (regardless of where she places)! I'm thankful my girls have her to look up to.

Ray stopped by and we presented him with a photo memory book of his 2.5 years living here with us.

March 6
My guy, with lunch fluff on his face, a mop of hair that needs to be cut (but not before Passion of the King), a healing forehead gouge and a baby-teeth smile that gets me every time.

In the morning, Shaun took all the kids to a local park to work at soccer and baseball and character development. The boys are pretty excited about the season starting soon.
