Project 365, Week 6

February 2
This is looking out the girls' window. It was about 42 and sunny this day...finally a break in the frigid air. Not quite warm enough to be on the roof in short sleeves, but apparently our neighbors thought it wasFebruary 3
The very next day, with several more inches to fall after this shot. New England is famous for the weather changing quickly.
February 4
Back to 20 degrees but the girls desperately wanted to play outside. They were happy for a good 45 minutes then came in for hot chocolate.February 5
Avery is carefully selecting the hair things she wants me to use in her hair.February 6
Daddy was working late and Avery was at her Friday church activities, so Amanda and I had a date. We popped some popcorn, got cozy under the blanket and watched Bambi, her most recent favorite.

I love the innocence both girls have. They giggle at the funny parts, like when Bambi is trying to slide on the ice and they think Bambi's daddy is scary and prefer me to watch it with them when he comes on the scene. Betchya didn't know Bambi was a scary movie!

February 7
First thing in the morning, too cute in their matching nightgowns.

  4. I am just like your neighbors, when the sun is shinning, I am sitting out in a chair even if I have to be all bundled up. We don't see it much in the winter. When my son was little he loved Sleeping Beauty, but I had to sit with him when Maleficent showed up, cause she is scwary!

  5. Found you at Amber's blog. I was the sole dissenter on the idea that only Christians can go to heaven. I am not saying that you are wrong. I think it's fabulous that so many out there believe that - "it's the truth" so to speak.

Coming from a mixed family, it's just something hard for me to swallow. I'm not saying you're wrong, but sometimes for someone questioning and seeking (which God wants for us - just check out St. Augustine, or Paul) it could come off as exclusionary.

And yet, that really isn't "true Christians" fault. You either believe, or you don't. So it's obviously my issue - insecurities - and not yours, Ambers, or any other Christian bloggers.

I'm just trying to speak for those who might be a cross roads - no pun intended. I desperately wish, in my heart of hearts, I could just read the New Testament and see those words and say, "Yes, this is it! There IS only one true path!" But I'm just not 100% there yet. That's all I meant by it. I feel if we can't be honest in a blog, where can we be?

Anyway, you have a beautiful family (and one on the way I see) and wish you the very best!
