Yesterday "kicked off" Shaun's "intramural" football season. They play every Sunday after church for the better part of the fall. It was a gorgeous day to be sitting outside letting the kids and the dog run around, especially since cousins joined us.
Poor Shaun feels his age more and more every year, but you sure can't tell when he's out on the field doing his thing. Makes me remember the teenager I fell in love with a couple years ago.
Youth may be admired for vigor, but gray hair gives prestige to old age.
