A Show Weekend

This past weekend we took the Lost in Vegas show to a fifth and final city for the year.  Since Shaun has made such a big commitment to this ministry, we have determined to keep our family as involved as possible.

The kids love the cast and the cast is so great about including them.  We've raised them to be flexible and it often comes in handy....they can sleep anywhere, they can go with anyone, they can stay up late and sleep in.  Makes it fun (and possible!) to do things like this.

When we arrived at the hotel, the kids each found a drawer to unpack their things in and quickly changed into their bathing suits.  Then they tested out the beds to make sure they were ok.

We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves.

Back to the room and then to meet up with the small group that was already there.

Then it was back to the theater to work and meet the cast who was trickling in.
Aiden got REALLY excited to see the screwdriver come out, knowing that it surely meant work was going to happen.  :)

Then the kids got up to help Daddy check the mics.  They sang Call Me Maybe.  Its priceless on video, but Z is in it, so I can't show it.  Hilarious though!

Thomas is going to be a children's pastor and just loves the kids.

When Dave, aka Blaze Wilde arrived, Shaun asked him to go through some of his lines.  Aiden was up there reciting them with him...

...but then Aiden stopped him and said, Excuse me, Blaze Wilde?  Please don't do the shooting part.  Blaze thought he said, Please DO the shooting part, so Blaze immediately launched into the "shooting part" dialogue.  Aiden was off that stage so fast...it was hysterical!

I love all the memories we are making and that the kids are seeing first hand that life is about service and using your gifts for God.

So Jesus got them together to settle things down. He said, “You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around, how quickly a little power goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you.

Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.
Matthew 20:25-28
