A Weekend To Celebrate!

I have so much blogging to catch up on! For a variety of reasons blogging has been hard for me the last couple months so I thankful for the discipline of Project 365, otherwise I might have completely dropped off. But there are just some things that can't be expressed in one or two pictures on a day, for instance, when your very first niece/nephew graduates from high school!! Yes, high school!

Jared and I have been good buddies since Day One. He's grown into such a great guy and we're so proud of him! It was an honor to watch him walk across that stage, though emotional.

Right after we went to his house where Sarah gathered friends and family and threw him a very special, thoughtful party. Such a fun day!

Jared and Colombo are just six weeks apart, our nephews, one from each side of the family. They were each other's first friend and we often kept them overnight together, taking them on outing and doing the fun things you do when you are an aunt and uncle with no kids of your own. :)

That was then...

This is now...

The next day, it was back to our house for Memorial Day. Nana and Grandpa Jeff, who are both out-of-state, wanted to do one big birthday party for the kids for the year, calling it an "Unbirthday Party". It was complete with a cookout, birthday cake and presents and a friendly family backyard game of wiffle ball.

The ultimate "peanut gallery" right here.

Cousins! :)

  2. The peanut gallery reminds me of those two old guys from the Muppets.
