Spring IS coming

We hit 60 degrees today, so the girls and I donned our sweatshirts and headed out to one of our favorite hangouts. I wimped out and drove the 1-1.5miles because it was so windy (not good for contacts!). Avery kept saying, "I've never been to the park before! I've never gone on the swings before" and its true...it did feel like we've been shut in for a long winter.

I delighted in hearing their squeals after the first big push and as a bonus we had a friend show up that we were not expecting. Good times and so nice to know we are on THIS side of winter!

"...Blessed be the name of God, forever and ever. He knows all, does all: He changes the seasons and guides history, He raises up kings and also brings them down, he provides both intelligence and discernment, He opens up the depths, tells secrets, sees in the dark—light spills out of him! God of all my ancestors, all thanks! all praise!..." Daniel 2:19

  1. Lisa, we were at that park today as well and I did wonder if you brought the girls there. We started an office close by, so I'm sure we will see you through-out the sping and summer.

  3. Wow... just read your passage from Daniel to my wife, and we are both in awe of how much there is to digest in that one verse. Thanks for sharing it with us all.

  5. There is nothing quite like that first spring outing after a long winter! So fun and carefree...
Our winters aren't too terrible around here, but it's been in the 70's the past few days, and we've been soaking in the sunshine.

  8. Oh how much fun. I can't wait for spring in WI. I do remember the days like you had when my babies were little. Enjoy them - they grow up way too fast.
