It was finally time to get another bottle of kid vitamins after having had the first one probably close to a year. As I was putting it away I casually read the label on the back
For children under 4 years of age, chew one half tablet daily.
Um, that would include my 2 and 3 year old, or 1 and 2 as they were for much of the first bottle. Never noticed it before. They've been getting one WHOLE tablet everyday, 'cause Avery never forgets to remind me about the vitamins. Might this explain why they are getting so big so fast???
Oops. Did you happen to notice when they expire? I usually forget to check that and then wonder why medicine doesn't work. (10 years old??!!)
ReplyDeleteLisa, I did the same thing with Vanessa when she was little. She got a whole vitamin by accident. I swear someone changed the label on me. And when we tried to give Sydney a half of one and Vanessa a whole, there was a tantrum...We have stopped all together. The kids iron is high and they eat really well....by the way...I did ask my doctor about it when I realized the overdose of vitamins for Nessa and Its no biggy. I'm sure you figured.
ReplyDeleteOops! Looks like your kiddos are doing just fine, so no worries! :-)
ReplyDeletei don't think it's hurt them any, they seem wonderfully normal and great to me! :D
ReplyDeleteOh! Well, I can laugh at this because your kids are obviously doing just fine and thriving on that extra half a vitamin a day. :) Savannah never lets me forget the vitamin either, apparently its like candy for her. I tried one once, and it was pretty chalky, so I'm not sure what she likes about it!
ReplyDeleteI am always frustrated about why they don't just make them smaller and have the older kids take 2. It is a pain breaking them in half! Liliana loves her witawins and sometimes gets Daddy to give her one (a whole one) after I have given her the appropriate half. :o) Most vitamins are water soluble anyways. :o)
