Project 365, Week 2

Its been cold this week here and in most parts of the country.  For example, the temperature right now is 2.  We stayed pretty close to home except for Amanda's dress rehearsal for the Nutcracker and a grocery store jaunt...just the way I like it!  We do miss being outside, though.

This was Shaun's first full week of the tax season, beginning his third year as a tax preparer at H&R Block.  We are adjusting to him being gone.  This early in the season we can still go visit him at work, which we did one of the days.

God is good.

January 3
Just hanging out in the kitchen...way too cool.

January 4
Aiden is beginning to really engage with his sisters.

January 5
A date!  Well, a movie at least.  Shaun has always been a Sherlock Holmes fan so I bought him tickets for Christmas.  We figured the last time we went to see a movie together was Pursuit of Happyness.  The girls asked me all day when we were going so they could be with Uncle Nathan and Auntie Laryssa.

January 6
Sweet kids in jammies, playing before bedtime in the guest room/Aiden's room.

January 7
Made lots of soup this week.  Every time I make something in the crockpot, I wonder why I don't do it more often!

January 8
Shaun had a basketball game, unfortunately they played against a much better team and lost.

He had lots of fans though, including his grandfather, who I didn't get a picture of.

January 9
There were two performances of The Nutcracker, which had been postponed to now due to a storm before Christmas.  Amanda's class did the Spanish Dance.

Sara is hosting some other great projects this week.

still want to see Sherlock Holmes!

I am trying to get my daughter to use her crock pot more at school. I keep telling her that once she uses it, she will realize how great it is and use it more! I think I use mine 1-2 every week! If you never visited crockpot365.blogspot.com, you need to!

I love how you did that last picture, beautiful!

  3. I'm off to the grocery store here in a few minutes & am getting ingredients to use in our crockpot for the first time in FOREVER! We plan to use it a lot more this winter to help save money. Now that I think about it I should get ingredients today to make something else later this week...
