Old Age

Conversation heard coming from the back of the car

Amanda to Avery:

Mommy and Daddy are old.
Amanda!  Don't say that.
Well, they are old.
Do you mean the number that they are or that they are old?
(Pausing) They are old like Great-Grandpa.
Amanda, that's not nice!
Well, Daddy said I can't say to Great-Grandpa that he is old.
Well...Mommy and Daddy aren't old like Great-Grandpa.

You can only perceive real beauty in a person as they get older.
-- Anouk Aimee

And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."
Genesis 21:7
