Snow Day

Last year snow days were a dime a dozen...this year its a unique event.  Thankfully.  We used to go to Florida early to mid March every year, while winter was still howling in CT and every year, without fail while we were down there soaking up the warm rays it would strike me....how do we live in that arctic Northeast??  It seems so...barbaric to endure winters like that when we could be down here in FL.

And yet, somehow each year we make it through another winter, and live to tell about it.

Anyway, last week was a perfect storm.  It started right about noon, allowing Avery an early dismissal from school.  It was so pretty coming down and melted in less than a day, which meant Shaun did not need to plow.

Before it melted though, the girls and I headed out.  Aiden slept through the whole thing and never even knew we'd been out.  :(

The dumb dog relentlessly tries to steal the girls' gloves right off their hands.  They were using their "box out" and "pivot" skills from basketball.

For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.
Job 37:6
