Mega Sports Camp

Last week, the kids attended Mega Sports Camp, put on by Christian Life Church.  It was five days of soccer and friends and songs and stories and snacks and Auntie Laryssa and Uncle Nathan and so much FUN!

They learned so many new skills in the five days and did lots of laughing.  They were so enthusiastic about it that they decided to get all "Mega Sports Camped-up" by markering each other.

We were happy to learn that Aiden was on Auntie Laryssa's "team" for the week and the girls had great coaches, too.  Amanda's leader pulled me aside a couple times during the week to tell me how sweet and special Amanda is and how touched she was by her compassion.

Aiden and his friend Bub were helping Nathan put away the sound equipment.  Bub is a worker, too and I think they both would have been happier working all week than playing soccer.
The awards day was Sunday and Avery was asked to share a little about her experience from the week.  She was so nervous but got up there and delivered her "speech" despite the fear.  She's growing!
Thankful to all the people who gave so generously and willingly to make this week possible for 40 kids....such a great experience!

One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
Luke 18:15-17

  2. What a great week! Did it make them interested in the World Cup?
