10 pictures on the 10th day of the month (Tuesday)!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}
6 AM
My very favorite time of day. These days, I am compelled to spend time with God.
9 AM
We enjoyed having a 2-hour snow delay.
10 AM
We got to watch my niece and nephew for a bit. Aiden checked with me to make sure he is still older than Alayna, as he does every time we see her, and often when we don't.
1 PM
The boys and I drove to RI to check out a technical school for R to attend next year. Their main campus has a beautiful 3 year old building, designed by student-architects. The lobby had a couple fountains and fish swimming in the pool.
2 PM
Carpentry is what we were looking into and we were completely impressed with their facility and program. The students have even built a mock house inside the building.
Shaun and I don't have "our song", but I realized we have "our smell"....the smell of remodeling has been a part of our lives since before we were married. Sheetrock compound and sawdust smell like home to me. :)
4:30 PM
While we were there the hospital called and said they had a last minute opening and could I be there in 1.5 hours. I told them I was in another state, but would do my best. I made it just in time to see a beautiful sunset.
6 PM
Got the MRI done! Another plus for Sloan...they are networked with the hospital that is about eight blocks from our house!
7 PM
Melody had taken the kids to basketball so I thought I'd put my feet up for a bit and be quiet. In reality, R was feeling very chatty so after a couple attempts to read I finally conceded and closed up my book (and bit my tongue so I wouldn't say go away...I just spent three hours in the car with you).
8 PM
Amanda bought a pillow pet light thing that gives off a fun light in their bedroom.
8:30 PM
Shaun got home and needed a couple headshots. Such a hard-working, handsome guy...I'm smitten!
Looks like a great day! I was going to do this, but I took one picture & then that was it until I was on my way home from work. I decided not to bother at that point. Crazy busy day!
ReplyDeleteyou wrote that perfectly. 'our smell'....I can relate. We have done the same thing since we met. So many remodeling projects, our kids all say they love the smell of fresh cut wood. Reminds them of home. :) Glad you are doing well, the kids are getting so big. I am so impressed with how you kept up your blog for so many years, what a treasure for them one day.
