Project 365, Week 52

Its the last week of the year and this post wraps up my 7th year doing Project 365! When I first started back in 2009, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep it up for even a month, but I quickly found that the combination of pictures and journaling is just right for me. Thank you for coming here once in a while to check in on us....I'm honored that you care about the everyday and not-so-everyday of our lives.

I have much posting to do in the next couple days before we close out 2015, so for now this is just a snapshot of the week.

December 20
Following Christmas at Sarah's when the kids were up until midnight, Aiden woke the next morning before 7:00, unable to contain his excitement of putting his new lego set together. He got the bags opened and lined up and then waited for Daddy to wake up. After about 4.5 hours, the shuttle was complete!

After Shaun's basketball game R and Quinn met us at the house...R was too excited to wait until Christmas to give the kids their gifts. :)

December 21
Amanda was writing a song while I was wrapping presents.

December 22
Pop and Kiki brought a special surprise over for a bit...cousins!

Sweet kitchen helper.

December 23
I was thrilled to be working in my kitchen, baking for people I love.

I charged H and Avery with collecting greens for the table decorations.

This little guy spends hours in this position in the living room. :)

Amanda organized a gift swap with our little family and this night she finally got to implement it. It was super precious.

December 24
Shaun worked on laying trim on the second floor hallway, I baked and cleaned and the kids helped and played inside and out. Candy land...

Our church's Christmas Eve service is always one of my year's highlights and our ever-evolving family photo. (R chose to spend the evening with his girlfriend's family).

After an amazing evening of food and fun at Amy's, we came back to our house to do the annual late-night stuffing of stockings and last-minute bow assembling. This year Colombo surprised us with team shirts...Christmas Bowing Team. These shirts made the job much more festive!

December 25
Christmas!

December 26
A slow, lazy day of drinking coffee, playing football and doing makeovers.
