Aiden is Sixteen Months

Aiden is sixteen months and could not be any sweeter.  People comment all the time on what a happy baby he is and really, why wouldn't he be?  He has constant attention from his adoring sisters, a daddy who enjoys having him around and involves him in what he is doing as much as possible and a momma who loves to cuddle him.  In short, life is good. :)

New words this month include stick, hot, hi, up, banana, please, this, what's this.  Up is a particular favorite, it seems to cover a lot.  Up to be picked up, to get out of bed, out of the highchair, up for "up above" in Twinkle, Twinkle.  He also says vroom, vroom when he's playing with cars.

He's started eating a few more foods including chicken nuggets, french toast, cheese, raw carrots.  The last two molars came through so now he's got all four.

I feel like I have less pictures of him this month and I think its in part because we didn't see him.  He's been sleeping!  He's been consistently sleeping 15 hours (or more!) at night and then doing a 3 hour nap in the afternoon.  I guess his little body is busy growing.  He weighed 21 lbs at his 15-month check-up, so he's in the 10th percentile for weight and 20th for height.

He sings all the time and definitely has some favorites.  Like La, la, la la in Elmo's World.  I catch him humming to himself all the time...so cute.  Not so cute is the snippy attitude he gets which resembles talking back.  We're working on it.

He is completely charming and interactive and likes to do things to make me and his sisters (his willing and gracious audience) laugh.

Aiden loves to tag along with his daddy and instinctively knows which things are tools...kinda crazy actually.  He likes to "help" and be in on the action as much as possible.  From the ground he yells up to Shaun on the roof as if to say hey Dad...you forgot me.  I can help!  We all love him to pieces and are so thankful he is here with us.

Fascinated with the birds flying overhead and then an airplane.
