Project 365, Week 15

I canNOT believe last Sunday was seven days ago...really, it feels more like three weeks.  I spent half the week in Tennessee at a photographer's workshop.  I'm so grateful to Shaun and Pop and Kiki for juggling the kids...everything went smooth, as expected, but I didn't get any pictures of their week so much of this is from my perspective only.  Oh wait...this entire blog is from my perspective only.

April 3
We woke the kids up at 6:30 AM and headed to the airport.  At one point Amanda said, WHY are we up so early???  They just could not believe that an hour that early exists in the day.

I got on a plane, retrieved my bag, picked up my rental car, checked into a hotel, and got to my final destination with no problems.  Those of you who know me well understand just how remarkable that is. I feel so grown up!

After a couple hours of classroom, we headed outside for some natural light practice. (I'm in the blue shirt, shielding my eyes).

April 5
The next day was pouring rain with some tornadoes mixed in, so we were inside an open marketplace.  Isn't this quote so true.
I wasn't able to capture the sideways rain.

April 5
Last time leaving the gated community where the workshop was held.  It was absolutely beautiful but it just wouldn't work for us.  People don't even knock before they enter our house...I can't imagine having to let visitors through the gate everytime.

April 6
I spent the morning at the salon getting a cut and highlights as a surprise for Shaun, who has been requesting them for a while.  Then I spent the rest of the time reading, barefoot in the grass.

The plane to take me home!  Shaun picked me up and we snuck in a date before getting the kids the next morning.  Our date was one of my favorite parts of the trip. :)
April 7
Back to life!  I tried to practice some of the lighting techniques that I'd learned, but my assistants had short attention spans and my models were...busy.

April 8
We walked up to the highschool to give the dog some space to runaround and the girls wanted to pose for this picture.  I love the lipstick on the cheeks and teeth and the paint on the t-shirt.  Sweetness.
April 9
After church Daddy took us out to dinner, which ended with ice-cream.
I'm linking up with Sara this week....
