Give Thanks in All

You just don't know what's going to happen next.  Sunday night we had a good reminder that nothing is guaranteed, that things can change in an instant.

Shaun was driving home when a deer crossed almost three lanes of traffic before smacking into our car.  Thankfully he was not hurt at all and the car was drivable, so no towing was required.

Monday morning we took it to the shop where it will be for a while.  Doesn't make my Top 100 List of ways I'd like to spend $3,400, but really, we have so much to be thankful for.

Recently, I was digging up a post I remembered reading a while ago on Sara's blog to give to a friend.  This circumstance reminded me of it yet again and its so good, I thought I'd share.  You can read it here.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I Thessalonians 5:18

  1. God is so good and faithful always. Sometimes it's so hard give praise in everything, but thankfully He is here to help and guide us!

So thankful that Shaun is ok.

  2. I'm happy to read that your husband is okay after a scare like that. Praise God for His provision in that you can get your car fixed. And that was a wonderful post you directed me to written by Sara. I need to develop a holy habit like that too! I'm going to share that with my husband tonight, I know he needs that reminder as well. Thanks!
