Doing Battle, Week 64

"Every spring is the only spring, a perpetual astonishment." --Ellis Peters

People are asking me how I feel. I say I feel great and they don't seem to quite believe me or want to know what that means. These photos represent what my heart looks like....and my body is feeling pretty great, too.

I'm just so happy to be here. I'm happy to be living and breathing and being with my people and getting ready for Christmas. Fresh eyes are seeing everything from a new perspective. My heart has more gratitude than it can contain.

We are working on re-calibrating life, enjoying the respite of normal, mundane, ordinary....whatever that ever looks like in this crazy house. :)

Recently someone reminded me of a quote I'm fond of:

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are...Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in my pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return." -Mary Jane Iron
