Project 365, Week 19

Happy Mother's Day to all of you hard-working moms out there.  May your family rise up and call you blessed!

My strategy of putting off doing blog posts is strangely not getting everything updated like I want.  The one post I did last week didn't quite do it.  Since I'm not a fan of excuses, I think I'll just pick a spot and just do it.  I'm aiming for five posts this week...we'll see how that goes.

For now, here is a brief re-cap of our week...

May 1
Yay for May!  Love this month of the year!  Pool time at Nana's community pool...we have three fish who can't get enough of the water.

May 2
Tampa Bay Zoo.  Grandpa bought two pieces of lettuce for $6 so the kids could feed the giraffes...surprisingly (not), Amanda was the only taker.  Priceless, no?
May 3
A favorite past-time when we visit Nana's house...lizard hunting!
May 4
I was all worn out from taking pictures all week, so I didn't take any today.  It probably would have been a big stack of clean clothes. :)  I love getting things back in order after being gone.

May 5
First softball game of the season!  It was a chilly one as they often are this early in the season.  Aiden was beside himself with excitement at the whole scene.  Balls!  Bats!  Dirt!  A little boy's paradise.  The kids settled right in and it was as if we'd never left. :)
 Love this man.  Coach-Extraordinaire...
May 6
Bible study.  Love hearing from these wise, loving "Titus 2" women and eating really good food fellowshipping.
 May 7
We "kicked off" the day at the soccer field, Amanda on one side, Avery on the other and Aiden desperately wishing he was somewhere in the mix.

Then I did an engagement session with two wonderful people, had a lunch meeting with potential clients, took Avery to recital rehearsal, ran some errands, went to church and finally got home to go through lots of photos from the day.  This is one of my favorites...

Have a great week!  And thanks to Sara for hosting.

  3. I forgot that the 1st of the week you were in Florida....I was wondering how you could be swimming before us and not be completely blue!!!

  4. The giraffe pic is great and it reminded me of when my dad let me feed the goats at the zoo. I think the pic they have is me leaping up into his arms when the goat got greedy :).

Lovely engagement photo, and yay for dirt! :)

  5. Your photos are so clear and crisp...loving the sports ones and the engagement photo is beautiful! We have a wildlife zoo here in AZ where you can feed the giraffes...so much fun and their tongues are so long and black! My boys LOVE the water as well. Hope you had a nice Mother's Day!

  8. I love getting these glimpses into an everyday life of an everyday family like mine. I too wish we could just hang out face to face and chat about all that there is to chat about! I'm so intrigued with your "world" because I've never been to that part of the country and it seems different than it is in Colorado. Maybe someday we'll meet! Until then, I enjoy catching up via the Internet! Have a lovely week and happy Mama's Day!

  9. P.S. Sorry my comments are triple-posting here, I tried to delete the duplicates. The Internet at the RV park we are in today is crazy slow and I never know if my comments get posted so I end up posting too many. :)
