January's 10 on 10

Can you stand another year of seeing my day in GREAT detail once a month??  I can't imagine anyone but Shaun being interested in how our day went, but I love having it documented, so...I give you another installment of Ten on Ten.  A marvelously quiet day.  Even our regular Thursday social worker and therapy visits were cancelled.

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

The girls have been kissed and hugged and dropped off at school, the dog's been played with and I say a little extra prayer as I leave the grounds....God, thank you for this wonderful school and the means to send our girls here.  Please protect them and watch over them.  I ask that they would be women of character and integrity.  Help them to be a blessing to their classmates and teachers....to be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath...a leader and not a follower.

And in the last month I've added another plea for protection and safety.
 Water dripping...in January!!
My industrious boys clearing some slush.  (Z was home for a couple days with Strep).
Work!  Ever so grateful to be able to do it at home....except occasionally when I grumble that my work is always here.
 Time to pick up the girls!  Half day!!

 Amanda washed some dishes while I did some organizing in the kitchen.  She thought it was GREAT fun.  :)
Since we had extra time and it was warm-ish, we went to the highschool to ride and play and get fresh air.  Love my girl!
Upon returning, the kids cranked up the music, turned out the lights and had a dance party.

When it was time for dinner, they wanted to keep the lights off and eat by candle light.  Candle light with a ketchup bottle...why not??
Daddy came home and the boys were off to Z's basketball practice.

 The girls and I snuggled in for some reading and a little heart to heart talking.  It reminded me that I need to STOP more and listen.  They are growing up so fast!
Bedtime for me, which is a little extra special on Thursdays because its Clean Sheets Day.  Its the little things, I tell you.

  1. I LOVE clean sheet day! It makes fighting with the bed worth it :)

    I had on my calendar to do this yesterday, but really work days are VERY boring (for other people & yesterday was even boring for me!).
