Engagement Photos

Last week I was given the opportunity to do a photo shoot with my brother-in-law and his fiance. Here is just a sampling of some of my favs. If you are a photographer who happens to stop by, your input would be appreciated (actually, I'll take critiquing from anyone who has an opinion...just trying to learn).

I had a great time doing the shoot and I was able to get into Photoshop for the first time for purposes other than cropping. Thank you to Nathan and Laryssa for giving me the opportunity to practice. Any other friends/family game?

  3. Well, let me just say that I often look at pictures in posts first and then go back and actually read the post - well, I thought they must have hired a PROFESSIONAL photographer! I can't believe you took those! So way to go, I'm super impressed!! And yes, I'd love you to practice on my fam!

  4. Hi Lisa! I think these are really beautiful and I LOVE the lighting! You definitely have great potential to be amazing and the best advice I have is to just keep shooting as much as you can! Thank you for your very sweet comment on my blog and now I have a new blog to follow! If you ever want to chat just shoot me an email at morgan@morganroofphotography.com. Keep up the great work!

  6. Lisa, these are fantastic! My favorites are the ones with the sunshine peeking through the tree and the piggy back ride. I think you definitely have talent...up for doing our family pics in December? Of course we'll have one more 2 months after that and I'll be large as a house, but who cares? I always seem to be pregnant, so who's to say I won't be next time we're out that way. ha ha!

  8. How exciting!! I love the last picture, that's one of those that you can see matted and framed with everyone's well wishings on the matte.

One thing I remember from my engagement pictures was that were all in different tones. Like some b/w were darker than others, some of the colors were bright in one picture and not so bright in the other. When I put them in an album it just didn't flow.

The pictures loook great and really capture the spirit of being in love. Ahh... the memories...

  10. Oh, how I wish you lived closer...I would love for you to practice on us for our Christmas pictures. I think they turned out great, but that is coming from someone who does not know the first thing about photography. Keep it up, and if you do more practice shots, be sure to post them so we can see!
