Project 365, Week 31

July 26
Aiden met one of his great-grandfathers, whose last name he shares.

Auntie Sarah was there...

...and Uncle Tony, too. The men had started out on a golf outing, but a little lightning and several claps of thunder put a quick end to their trip.

July 27
Can't get enough pictures of Aiden...seems like sometimes I can actually see him growing!

July 28
This hangs in the girls' room...I like that whole chapter.

July 29
Avery got this sidewalk chalk for her birthday. Its 3D and pretty cool.

Aiden likes to be held, but when he gets put down its usually in this seat.
July 30
Since the baby was fed and sleeping and the girls were occupied, I thought I'd attempt a (gasp) project, which I figured would take me about 30 minutes. I wanted to put away all my maternity clothes and bring out my regular summer clothes. About 10 minutes into the project, the girls came in and had clothes strewn everywhere and were trying on "dresses" with my "fancy" shirts. Then they woke the baby up and my 30 minute project turned into a 3-day er. Not sure how a couple piles of clothes can stress me out so much, but it does.

July 31
I don't know when it happened, but suddenly it seems, Avery is coloring a complete picture, within the lines. I realize its not rocket science, but I guess I was just surprised how quickly it changed. She turns out picture after picture with her paints, crayons and markers. As I type now, she and Amanda are sitting at their desk coloring and singing their little hearts out. (one is for me, one is for Baby Brother)

August 1
Micah's fiance Sienna's shower was held at our house and hosted by her mom and sister. We had a really nice day and she got lots of great stuff. The girls enjoyed being in on the action, helping her open all her gifts. Now we have just about a month to wait to meet our new niece and cousin.

Sara, thank you so much for hosting...love this project!

  5. He's definitely a photogenic baby! Love those little toes and fingers :-) Seeing him with his big sister is so sweet. I know what you mean about coloring in the lines, it's like "where'd my toddler go?" Time flies by, and before you know it Aiden will be coloring in the lines too :-) And then driving. hahahaha
Enjoy your "babies" and try not to have too much angst over the piles. (I know, harder done than said.)
    Have a great week!

  8. What beautiful pictures. I love the feet in the hands, so sweet.

We had a bunch of family over and I bought the 3D chalk for the younger kids and it's so cool I have gone out and drawn with it myself since they've all been gone. LOL

  11. life moves forward so quickly, it's great that you are capturing the important stuff, like the girls dressing up, the coloring pictures, and the baby growing...the important stuff!

  14. Baby toes, baby rolls. I love it. He is such a handsome little guy. I can see why you love holding him so much - and they aren't little like this long enough, so soak it in while you can.

We have that 3D chalk, too, and I think I have as much fun as Savannah does with it!

Wow, I'm really impressed with Avery's coloring skills. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly they learn things from one day to the next. Savannah went from scribbling nonsense to drawing "people" - you know, the ones with huge heads, and with arms and feet coming out of the face? :)
